Mt. Kerkeslin (9,791'), Jasper National Park, Alberta

bout this image

This was taken on my 2005 trip to the Canadian Rockies. Taken just south of the town of Jasper at sunset looking south to Mt. Kerkeslin, this has the perfect conditions for mountain photography. You could almost mistake this as a Himalayan peak as Kerkeslin thrusts up through the clouds revealing its uppermost reaches. I love everything about this one: the clouds, the color of the rock, and the glow of the sun's reflection.
