You would think I would have a substantial collection of really nice panoramic aspen forest shots. Alas, that is the furthest thing from the truth. I actually think this is my only one! For me, it seems difficult to find and/or see a good set of trees that are conducive to this kind of shot. I really prefer the whitest possible boles and ones as blemish-free as possible for any intimate aspen forest scene, but they are seemingly hard to come by. I finally came across this section of trees that I knew would work well on my fall trip in 2007. It's shot on half of a 4x5" piece of film and can be printed huge. In the near future, I will be printing this longer than 50" to hang in my own living room.
