Taken on my fall trip in 2003, this picture has always drawn me in and is my absolute favorite out of all the hundreds of aspen pictures in my collection. The orange aspens standing out from the yellow aspens in front of the complimentary bluish background wall just all come together here. Also, by not including the sky, it gives the mountain walls a more impressive look and allows your mind to wonder how far they might go up. I have a number of other variations of this aspen stand from this trip and others that I also really like, but this is the best of the bunch. Fall in Colorado is an amazing time of year.
