6:11 PM — The canyon at the North Fork of the Owyhee River from near the campground. Here's the BLM article for the byway. In it, it mentions towering red rock canyon at this spot. Uh, first of all, the canyon is made up of dark gray/black rock. And, they're only about a hundred feet tall, not exactly what I would call towering. Nevertheless, this spot is the most scenic along the route.
