Rating: 3/10 These two lie between Animas Forks and Gladstone and are less than a mile apart. At the summits, picturesque "aerial" views of Lake Como are excellent. The lake provides a very nice stop for a lunch break or to just enjoy the beautiful deep blue of the water along the shoreline. The road continuing past the lake to the north is Poughkeepsie Gulch. On the south side of Hurricane, the view of the Red Mountains 1, 2 and 3 is incredible, and, if you happen to be traveling Corkscrew Gulch next, you can see the first half of your route from here. |
