This short 2.7 mile trail starts off of the Hancock Pass road out of St. Elmo and heads southeast. It passes the Mary Murphy Mine on the way, though I've failed to take pictures. After the mine, the road gets considerably rocky, which earns it the 5-rating. The lakes at the end are in a beautiful basin and make it worth the short drive, though you'll have to walk a short distance to the lower one, and get out your hiking boots for the upper lake. On the day from which the pictures are taken below, I had traveled along with my friend, Alan.
