The Front Range has a bit of a loose meaning as it includes many sub-ranges that stretch from the Wyoming border and extends about 180 miles south to the Pikes Peak massif. Ranges include the Medicine Bow, Mummy, Never Summer, Indian Peaks, Williams Fork, Kenosha, Tarryall, Rampart and the Pikes Peak massif. Because 80% of the state's population lies along the eastern flank of the Front Range, it is not an area I spend a lot of time in, and thus usually venture further west for most of my travels to get away from the crowds. That being said there are never any crowds during the optimal photographer's hours, even in such human-infested locals such as Rocky Mountain National Park.
