I have had
a few inquiries as to how my lights are wired, so hopefully this will
provide a decent description. Being that I have so many lights up top,
and the fact I wouldn't know where to begin wiring them up myself, I knew
this would have been too big of an undertaking for me to get involved
with, so I had a local off-road shop do the install.
The front 4 are routed to the drivers side of the
rack and the lateral and rear lights to the right. From there, they go
down behind the innermost rubber seal between it and the body at the top
of the rear doors which does not impede water flow. The wires follow along
behind this seal individually until where it ends at the start of the
hood at the bottom of the A-pillar.
Then, they make there way in to the engine area
in the hole where the hood hinge is connected next to the cowl panel.
They are then combined into a plastic wire cover hose that will eventually
split into the cab, then to the relays, then on to the battery. A separate
hole was drilled to go through the firewall. A small circular rubber gasket
was installed as well.
I have the front four rack mounted lights controlled
by one switch, then each subsequent pair using their own switch.
